EnglandNewchapel - Brighton - Newhaven - Hastings - Gatwick - Dunstable: Vacation Day 04/17

After a "good" nice sleep in Toyota Aygo in a parking lot near Newchapel, Nada and me continued our journey on Iceland. No, sorry, I almost forgot that we missed the plane yesterday, so our journey continued in Southern England. The decision was made quickly in the morning, since we knew that we will return the car after a day. It was just too expensive to have this car. Since Brighton was one of the cities with big letters on the map, we decided to be our first destination. It was raining quite a lot, so we checked it through the car windows.

Sightseeing in Brighton. Brighton Wheel was manufactured in Germany and was transported to South Africa in 2010, where it served as a tourist attraction during the 2010 FIFA World Cup. It was taken to England in September 2011

After a drive through Brighton we stopped in Newhaven, where we did the grocery shopping in Lidl and some surfing in McDonalds. Although this place is very popular and people mainly eat there, we found a nice spot, where we continued to check our travel options. To stay discrete, we ordered 2 ice-creams. All the information we got was quite bad, so we made a final decision, the one that will make you cry. At this point a have to say "Thank You" to my co-worker Rok, who provided some bad information. We cancelled Iceland, rented a cheaper car for 3 days and rebooked our flight back to Zagreb. Sorry Iceland, you will just have to wait a bit more.

Nevertheless, our journey continued, it's just "a little bit" changed. From Brighton we continued towards the East.

Seven Sisters, series of chalk cliffs, from Birling Gap

Beachy Head with a lighthouse, constructed in 1902 and automated in 1983. It is also a place, where yearly around 20 successful suicides are committed.

Eastbourne Pier, a seaside pleasure pier

The Wish Tower Martello Tower, where we almost got a parking fine. The guy just started writing a "welcome" letter, when we returned.

In the evening we returned our Angelca (Toyota Aygo) back to enterprise rent-a-car. Our new car was rented over internet site http://www.economycarhire.com/ and it was 3 times cheaper and bigger. A guy from Green Motion picked us up at the airport and in 10 minutes we were filling up forms for Peugeot 308, nickname Poldi. With Poldi we decided to spend three days North from London, so our plan for the first evening was to drive North and test how seats of famous French car manufacturer are good for sleeping.
