Today was the day for hiking. Tomaž, Boštjan, Rok and me started early, at 4 a.m. from
Tržič. The path lead us over Mala Mizica, 764 m to Velika Mizica, 976 m, where we had a nice view to Tržič. We continued to
Koča na Kriški gori mountain hut, 1471 m, where we had a short break. Our next destination was
Tolsti vrh, 1715 m, where we found almost new shoes and a lot of smelly sheep shit. From the peak we descended to
Mala Poljana, 1325 m, where we refilled our water supplies. We moved on past
Velika Poljana, 1410 m, and on a little more difficult track over Psica, 1769 m, to our highest point,
Storžič, 2132 m. Rok and me found a
GeoCache on top and after a snack and a photo session we descended on Škarjev rob to Javorniški preval (saddle), where we decided that we will have a deserved beer in
Koča Pr' Zdravcu, 1448 m. The final step was a descent to
Grahovše, where Meta (Boštjan's better half) picked us up.
