Slovenia / Croatia / Bosnia and Herzegovina: MTB trip with AO Tržič - Umoljani
Our local Mountaineering Society AO Tržič has been organizing a mountain biking trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2015. For our 2025 adventure, we decided to return to Umoljani, the very same destination where our journey began ten years ago in 2015. It felt great to come full circle and revisit a place that holds a special place in the history of our MTB trips.
Before setting off, I made the most of the early morning. I took Bronco for a quick walk up to Ljubelj Pass - Garmin Connect, then jumped on my bike and cycled down to Loka pri Tržiču (Garmin Connect), where I picked up the van for our journey to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As always, our first day was reserved for the long drive to Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a few stops along the way to stretch our legs, enjoy the scenery, and, of course, taste some of the local cuisine. With the bikes safely packed and the team ready for another adventure, the real riding would begin the following day.

After enjoying some delicious ćevapi, we continued on to Umoljani, where we settled in for the night.
