Our local Mountaineering Society AO Tržič organizes a
mountain biking trip to
Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2015 and this year's destination was the
Vlašić mountain. Today we started exploring the mountain on 2 wheels. We made a nice 40 km circle with an ascent to the highest peak in the area, Paljenik -
Garmin Connect.

| Planinarski dom Grof Erik Brandis was open, so we had a beer. Erich von Brandis (1834–1921) was a Slovenian-born bishop of the Roman Catholic Church, known for his work in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was appointed Bishop of Banja Luka in 1873 and contributed to the religious and cultural life of the region during his tenure. |

| Planinarski dom Jusuf Pečenkovič was also on our way, but also closed. Jusuf Pečenković was a Bosnian mountaineer and alpinist, known for his significant contributions to the development of mountaineering in the region. He is most famous for his role in promoting mountain tourism and preserving the natural beauty of the Vlašić Mountain area. |
