Australia: Day 02: Sydney: Spit Bridge to Manly Coastal Walk & Mardy Gras Parade

My host Paul had to work today so I decided to join CouchSurfing event called Spit Bridge to Manly 10km Coastal walk on Sat 2nd. 11 people wanted to join, but since the weather forecast wasn't very good only 6 people came. Sep, Manon, Susanne, Isabell, Marten and of course me were the brave ones and we had a wonderful time.

My station in Lewisham

Marten, Manon, Sep, Susanne and Isabell were the Couchsurfers that were not afraid of rain

High tide was the reason we had to run a bit

Water was very refreshing
Our Manly walk was finished and for our way back we took the ferry. More about the walk can be found in this brochure.

They warned us not to stay outside on the boat, but ignoring the warning made us wet.
