Italy: Riserva Naturale Tomboli di Cecina

For the New Year vacation, Nada, Bronco and me decided to have a trip to Tuscany, Italy. Our plan for today was to go swimming in Tyrrhenian Sea, so we drove to the coast, to Marina di Bibbona to be exact, where we pared our Angie and then we continued to the Riserva Naturale Tomboli di Cecina natural reserve, where one of the longest and most beautiful pine forests in Italy is located. The Sea was warm enough for Nada and me, but Bronco decided to stay on the land. Our plan to swim for New Year was accomplished, so we returned back to our home, where we had a nice barbecue.

Our previous days in Tuscany: Day 7 - 15934, Day 6 - 15933, Day 5 - 15932, Day 4 - 15931, Day 3 - 15930, Day 2 - 15929 and Day 1 - 15928.

Our home called Colombaia.

Riserva Naturale Tomboli di Cecina natural reserve really has a nice pine forest along with great sandy beach.

Well Bronco, maybe next time.

Back into the pine forest.

On our way back we found a very interesting geocache, where we had to use Archimedes' principle to get it out.

Casale Marittimo is also is a member of the I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy") association. Initially the group included about a hundred villages, which subsequently grew up to 349 in 2023.
