Slovenia: Motorbike trip and First-Aid Course

Instead of going to work, some people from our company joined a first-aid course in Ljubljana. Full day passed quickly and we all refreshed our memories like: the three P's (Preserve life, Prevent further harm and Promote recovery), "ABC"s of first aid (Airway, Breathing, and Circulation), usage of AED, pressure bandages, Esmarch's bandages, performing CPR and much more.

After the course I continued with my motorbike trip, but since the rain started, I made it a bit shorter.

We all passed the test with flying colours

Early GeoCache: Medical center Litostroj sometimes stood beside important and well-known factory Litostroj. After the restructuring of Litostroj this building was soon abandoned.

Mansion well in Polhov Gradec, where on the inner walls of this hut there are well visible signatures that, according to oral tradition, belong to Napoleon’s soldiers who stopped there to rest. Among those there is a very well visible signature of Victoria.

My last stop was at the open air museum in front of Žirovski Vrh Uranium Mine. In 1976 the uranium mine was established and it worked until 1990. They used ore that contained at least 0,03 % uranium. During this time they gained 633 thousand tons of ore and produced 452 tons of uranium concentrate.

Short trip with my Blue Horse
