Albania: Yearly Vacation - Albania - Rest Day
Seventeen days, two motorcycles, one destination. For this year's holiday, Nada and I headed to Albania, planning to explore its coastline from north to south before turning towards the mountains and making our way home through some of the country's most scenic landscapes.
Day 15 began exactly as the weather forecast had promised. Dark clouds covered the coast, strong winds swept in from the Adriatic, and rain soon followed. After so many days of perfect riding weather, our luck had finally run out.
With my stomach still refusing to cooperate, the decision was easy. Instead of spending the day on the motorcycles, we stayed in our apartment and enjoyed an unexpected day of rest. Between the showers, Nada and I managed a short walk through Velipojë, one of Albania's northernmost seaside resorts, before retreating indoors once again.
