Slovenia: Boating On Kolpa River: Day 3

ŠKD Indijanci (Sports and cultural association of our company) survived also the Saturday night and after the breakfast we started to pack the tents, sleeping bags and remains of our drink supplies. At around noon we said goodbye to each other with a strong belief, that we will repeat this awesome event at least one more time.

Slovenia: Boating On Kolpa River: Day 2

ŠKD Indijanci (Sports and cultural association of our company) survived the first night. On our second day, we rented the boats and we started to raw down the Kolpa river stream. We were equipped with wine, beer and God knows what else.

In 5 hours of hard rowing we arrived to Učakovci, where they picked us up.

When we returned back to our base camp we played the game called Kubb - a game that could date back to the Viking Age. While we were playing, Vlado prepared a dinner for us.

Slovenia: Boating On Kolpa River: Day 1

Our sports and cultural association ŠKD Indijanci organised 4th yearly picnic at Kolpa river in Kot pri Damlju. As usual, we started the event on Friday after work. On first day we only set up the tents and then the whole group had a dinner.

Arrival was a bit more difficult for some for me, since I cycled half way there, from Trzin to Črmošnjice pri Stopičah (had 2 flats), where I left my bicycle for regular service. Nada and Anže picked me up and together we continued to Kolpa river.

Slovenia: Hike & Fly - Zavetišče v Hudičevem borštu

Before work our work society ŠKD Indijanci organised a breakfast in the mountains. Rok and me decided to fly back to the valley from there, while all others decided to stay home in warm bed.

We started with the hike at 5 a.m., still in the dark, but we advanced quite quick, and in hour and a half we were at our hiking destination, Zavetišče v Hudičevem borštu, 1328 m.

After we found a GeoCache, we checked the wind and the conditions were good (no wind at all), so we prepared our paragliders and took off. In the air it was a little bit turbulent, but since it was still early, not too much. After a little more than 10 minutes we landed in Preddvor.

We packed our gear and it was work time.

Devil's forest has a very interesting story how it was crated. The legend says that two farmers quarrelled over who owned  the forest. Finally one of them said: May the devil take it! The devil immediately put the forest on his shoulders and rushed towards Zaplata. Daylight caught him midway. The devil dropped the forest in the middle of the hill, where it still lies today.

Slovenia: Kiklop in Begunjščica

After work Rok and me went climbing and Kiklop (V+, 140 m) was our chosen rock route. We climbed it without any issues and we abseiled it back down.

Czech Republic: Brno, MotoGP Race:  Day 3

Race day was ahead of us and we have never started our trip to the circuit so early. The morning was rainy, so first races started in rain, while before the main event, MotoGP race, the rain stopped and track started slowly to dry.
