Slovenia: 7 Day Hiking Challenge, Part 7: Storžič

Sometime last year, an idea popped up, while we were drinking beer. "Let's conquer a 2000 meter high peak every consecutive day in a week with at least 1000 vertical meters of hiking". Stupid or not, we added this to our future plans.

We started with realisation this week and on Friday our chosen peak was Storžič, 2132 m.

We had great weather for 6 of the 7 peaks and today we had to wait till the afternoon, for the improvement. Rain stopped and we quickly gathered in Tržič. We drove to Dom pod Storžičem mountain hut, 1123 m, from where we started hiking over Škarjev rob to the peak. We returned the same way and since it was the last peak in the challenge, we continued to the pub.

The whole challenge was completed by Rok and me, while 2 or more peaks were conquered by Vlado (4), Saška (3), Lovro (2) and Nada (2). Congratulations to all of us!
