Slovenia: 7 Day Hiking Challenge, Part 6: Begunjščica
Sometime last year, an idea popped up, while we were drinking beer. "Let's conquer a 2000 meter high peak every consecutive day in a week with at least 1000 vertical meters of hiking". Stupid or not, we added this to our future plans.
We started with realisation this week and on Friday our chosen peak was Begunjščica, 2060 m.

Today we also decided to attend the "Let's go to the mountains" party. We started the hike from my place and our first stop was Koča na Prevalu mountain hut, 1311 m. After a short stop we continued to our designated peak, Begunjščica and from there we descended to Roblekov dom na Begunjščici mountain hut, 1657 m, where we had a break for lunch. Great food, couple of beers and we moved on to Dom na Zelenici mountain hut, 1536 m, where that party took place and we just caught the last minutes of it. The beer kicked in and we just couldn't return straith to the valley, so we extended our trip over 2 peaks, Vrh Ljubeljščice, 1704 m, and Povna peč, 1503 m, to Koča na Ljubelju mountain hut, 1370 m.
