Slovenia: Zeleniške Špice and Planjava

The Zeleniške Špice are a long, broken ridge that separates the valleys of Repov Kot and Kamniška Bela. The lower part is covered with dwarf pine, while above the prominent peak Staničev vrh (1808 m), bare crags and unnamed summits rise. Further along the ridge, only two peaks have known names - Debeli Špic (1937 m) and Najvišji Rob (2127 m). We climbed them in 2015 - 13323 and today I climbed them again with Gaja and Badžo. In the end we prolonged our trip to Planjava and after the beer at Kamniška koča mountain hut we returned back to the valley - Garmin Connect.

Repov kot valley and on the right, Zeleniške špice.

We started in the forest and then swapped the terrain to rocks.

At the peak called Staničev vrh, the ridge starts.

Just straight ahead, little left, litlle right, but keep following the main ridge.

It is recommended to use the rope for the descent from Staničev vrh.

We were not alone.

Badžo, Gaja and me.

Edelweiss or planika in Slovene.

A little bit of climbing and abseiling.

We had foggy and windy weather on top of Planjava. Gaja quickly took a selfie with Badžo, while I searched for a geocache.

Approaching Jermanova vrata and Kamniška koča na Kamniškem sedlu mountain hut. Finally below the fog again and with much less wind.

We spotted more flowers on the way back and we also found a shortcut., that was actually longer than the usual path. You can't be lucky all the time.

Geocache found:
- Planjava, GC5F1HY, that  received a visit  by trackable item "Second Angel of peace", TBA8B55 and where I dropped off trackable item "Spartan Medal", TB9K7R9
