The
2024 UEFA European Football Championship is the 17th UEFA European Championship, the quadrennial international football championship organised by UEFA for the European men's national teams of their member associations. Germany hostes the tournament, which will take place from 14 June to 14 July 2024. The tournament involved 24 teams, including ours.
Nada, Dejan, Grega, Klemen, Alex and me arrived to
Germany yesterday (
16466) and the plan for today was quite easy. First we visited the
Mercedes-Benz Museum and then we attended the match. Our goal, to win it.
The current building, which stands directly outside the main gate of the Daimler factory in Stuttgart, was designed by UN Studio. It is based on a unique cloverleaf concept using three overlapping circles with the center removed to form a triangular atrium recalling the shape of a Wankel engine. |
You start the tour at the top and then slowly move to the bottom. |
The building's height and "double helix" interior were designed to maximize space, providing 16500 square meters of exhibition space on a footprint of just 4,800 square meters.
The museum contains more than 160 vehicles, some dating back to the very earliest days of the motorcar engine.
Older than majority of us.

Section with buses. |
Mercedes-Benz has a long and rich history in bus manufacturing, producing everything from city buses to luxury coaches.
Trucks.
Little newer, still old.
So many details.
To another generation.
Another generation.

Relaxing on our asses with a movie. |

Future and past.

Arriving to MHPArena. Before 1993 it was called the Neckarstadion, named after the nearby river Neckar and then it changed its name according to the money flow. |
Nada, Alex, Grega, me and Meri in the first row.
 |
Klemen found his lost twin brother. |
 |
Our guys were playing in blue. |
 |
I think we were louder than the Danish fans. |
Slovenijaaaaaaaaaaa!
 |
Cheers from the first row. The match ended 1:1 (scorers Christian Eriksen and Erik Janža). |
On our way back to the hotel we visited the fan zone and explored the city a little.
