Italy: Backcountry Skiing Camp - Piz De Puez

The time has come for 3rd backcountry skiing camp organized by Chera Hiking. This time we left Slovenia and we settled in Campill in Italy. We rented the whole house of apartments, so it was fun all the time, except in the morning, when we had to get up. Once we were on skis on our first tour, that also improved and we were on our way to our first destination, Piz De Puez at an altitude of 1913 m. After around 5 hours we reached our sunny destination and we all had smiles on our faces. As usual the descent was fast, with classic burning thighs and in the late afternoon we were back in our apartments in our usual regeneration mode.

Previous backcountry skiing camps:

Plenty of snow in this valley.

In the Dolomites.

The art of nature with a human touch.

I guess we are on the right path to Piz De Puez.

Above the Antersasc Alm, a beautiful alpine pasture located in the Puez-Odle Nature Park.

Our plan is to enter the gully called Puez Rinne, just right from that rocky head.

Short break.

After the gully, the new view opened.

That is our destination.

White fairytale.

Time for the last break.

View to the peaks on the South.

Simply unique.

Finally on the eastern summit of Piz de Puez / Puezspitz.

Quick nap on the summit.
