Slovenia: 4 days of Backcountry Skiing - Day 1 - Planina v Lazu
I joined a Chera Hiking group of backcountry skiers, that had a plan to spend 4 days on a snowy mountain pasture Planina v Lazu in the centre of Triglav National Park. On our first day we simply drove to Bohinj, where a guy with a 4WD car took us almost to Planina Blato and then we were on our own with our our gear and food for 4 days. Well, we simply put our backpacks on our shoulders and started walking on skis. We slowly advanced to "Koča na Planini pri Jezeru" mountain hut where we had a short hydration break and backpacks were immediately lighter. Soon we moved on and in an hour we reached our destination, where our hut was already warm.
This year, there is not a lot of snow, but still enough for our adventure. As I mentioned, backpacks were quite heavy.
We finally arrived to our destination - Garmin Connect. |
Time for dinner and early bed. |
