Slovenia: Spodnja Konjščica

For today's Sunday hike, Nada, bronco and me chose a mountain pasture Planina Spodnja Konjščica, 1451 m. For the way up, we chose a regular mountain path, but on our way back, we simply followed our noses - Garmin Connect.

Nada and Bronco.

We followed the marked trail.

Spring is here - hellebore flowers are blooming.

Slovenia: Frelihov žleb in Begunjščica

Badžo and Gaja invited me to join them climbing the gully called Frelihov žleb, IV/II-III, 180 m. I said why not and we went. It took us an hour to access the gully and then the climbing part began. Details were without the snow, so it complicated the climbing a little bit, but we managed. We continued on ridge "SZ raz Begunščice" and on scree "Smokuški plaz" almost to the summit. Since we were all already on the top many times, we skipped that part and returned back to the valley via scree "Centralni plaz" - Garmin Connect.

The approach was easy, since the snow was quite hard.

At the entrance of the gully we geared up and started climbing. Since the details were not covered, it was quite difficult at some places.

Italy: Backcountry Skiing Camp - Roa Scharte

Backcountry skiing camp organized by Chera Hiking came to day 3. We were still in Campill, our house still didn't burn down, so we were ready for our 3rd backcountry skiing trip. Our main goal was Roa Scharte mountain pass, near the peak called Piz Duleda. An hour after our start, we realized, that we missed the desired trail, so we splitted to two groups again. One group headed for another summit, while we improvised and traversed towards the desired destination. I must say, that we were quite lucky and we didn't run into any big obstacles and after good 3 hours, we were at our destination. The day wasn't so clear as the last two days, so we soon headed back to the valley.

Previous days of our backcountry skiing camp in Campill / Lungiarü: Day 1 - 16373, Day 2 - 16374.

Previous backcountry skiing camps:

We were already off our desired track here.

Somewhere around here the group split to two smaller units.

Roa Scharte is the lowest point in the chain of mountains in the rear.

Alone with the snow and the mountains.

It looks closer as it was in the end.

Still a few meters to the Roa pass.

Stuntmen on their way to the valley. Gaja won with a salto for 10 points.

Beer at the end is always a good choice.

Italy: Backcountry Skiing Camp - Peitlerscharte

Our 2nd day of our backcountry skiing camp organized by Chera Hiking was here. We had a good breakfast and then we simply headed towards our today's destination, Peitlerkofel. In this part of the Dolomites, they speak the Ladin language, but knowing that didn't help us ascending to the summit. When we arrived to the Peitlerscharte below the peak, we formed more smaller groups and only one group followed the initial plan, while other groups found new goals. My group made some skiing on fresh snow and then conquered another saddle. We regrouped at Ütia Majarëi and then descended back to our Lungiarü, followed by the regular evening activities.

Previous day of our backcountry skiing camp in Campill / Lungiarü: Day 1 - 16373.

Previous backcountry skiing camps:

Everything starts with a good breakfast.

After the snowy start, we ran into the sunny side of the village.

A little bit of walking was essential in the area of Mill Valley / Val di Morins.

Back on snow.

Winter calmness.

So many options for skiing.
