Croatia: 4 Islands MTB Race - Stage 1: Krk

Mitas 4 Islands MTB stage race (https://4islands.hr/) is inviolable a unique stage race that offers participants to bike on 4 different islands within 5 consecutive days passing by distinctive environments and challenging trails of islands KrkRabCres and Lošinj. Total trails distance is up to 255 km and climbing up to 5.000 meters. Well, this year it was even better, since Nada and me joined the race.

On the 3rd day the real stages began. Stage 1 on island Krk, with a name "I'm a rock-it man" had 72 km, which made it the longest trail on the race. 1750 vertical meters and riding on the so called moon surface were also between its highlights. TuNa team made it all way to Garica, less than 10 kilometers to the finish line.

Awesome single trails, where I walked yesterday

Sharp rocks and narrow trails don't allow any arrows

Vegetation on island Krk

Back on the motorway towards Vrbnik

Easy for the winners, since they were already drinking beer in the finish, while we received a visit from the sky. Mr. Rain was here.
