Slovenia: Alpine Transhumance

A seasonal droving of grazing livestock between the valleys and the high mountain pastures took place in our area today and we decided to help the farmers. We migrated 17 cows from Podljubelj to Planina Korošica pasture.

 

2 hours and a half they walked to their new 3-month home

Cypripedium calceolus - Lepi čeveljc is a lady's-slipper orchid and is a protected flower in our area

We sat down for quite some time
