Slovenia: Dakhabrakha

Before the concert, Nada and I treated ourselves to dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Ljubljana. It was a great way to start the evening, enjoying good food and taking our time before heading to Kino Šiška. DakhaBrakha delivered a nice performance, blending traditional Ukrainian folk music with modern influences from around the world. Their distinctive vocals, powerful rhythms, and striking stage presence created an unforgettable atmosphere.

Formed in Kyiv in 2004, DakhaBrakha blends traditional Ukrainian folk music with influences from around the world.

The band's striking stage appearance, featuring tall black hats and traditional costumes, has become as recognizable as its music.

DakhaBrakha is made up of Marko Halanevych, Iryna Kovalenko, Olena Tsybulska, and Nina Garenetska.

DakhaBrakha's name translates as "give/take" in old Ukrainian, a fitting description for a band that draws inspiration from many cultures while sharing Ukrainian traditions with audiences around the world.
