Croatia: Sušec

Strahinjčica is a mountain in Hrvatsko Zagorje. To the west, it is separated from the Kostel Mountain Range by the valley of the Krapinica River. To the north, it is surrounded by the Žutnica and Bednja rivers. To the east, it is divided from Ivanščica by the Očura, Veliki, and Sutinski streams, while the Krapina River flows to the south. The highest peak, Sušec, is located on the central ridge and reaches an elevation of 846 meters and today, Nada, Bronco and me hiked to it - Garmin Connect.

Above Radoboj.

View through the frame.

Radoboj has a rich history dating back to Roman times, with evidence of early mining activities, particularly for sulfur, which was extracted in the area during the Middle Ages and played a significant role in the local economy.

Few more photos and then we moved on.

On top of Sušec, 846 m.

When we returned back to the valley, Bronco needed a rest.

Activities back at our weekend house.
