Slovenia: Po medvedovih stopinjah (In the bear's footsteps)
"64 kilometers of wilderness and 2300 meters of altitude difference in one day - one of the most difficult Slovenian extreme
hikes." is written on the organisers
webpage. While Nada and Bronco decided to take the shorter version of the trail, measuring "only" 36 kilometres, Aleš and me went for the full version, that takes you in the heart of the mysterious
Kočevje forests, through abandoned villages, Rajhenav Rog virgin forest and many other interesting places. We started at round 4:30 a.m. and with 4 breaks, we managed to do the trail in good 15 hours. It wasn't easy, especially for our legs, but in was worth it for a few beers in the end. Cheers to all the finishers.
