Slovenia /Austria: Paragliding and Mountain Biking below Peca

The last day of camping with Mountain Rescue Association of Tržič (GRS Tržič) came quickly. We said goodbye to the people, who had different plans than us. Nada, Samo and me drove to the Austrian side of the Peca mountain, where we bought the gondola lift tickets, 2 for paragliders and one for mountain bikers. Samo and me had to wait at the top, for the fog to disappear, while Nada started her Peca Flow downhill adventure. Luckily for us, the fog was almost gone, so we took off and started flying to the bottom station of the gondola lift. At the time, Nada also made two runs, and since her ticket was still valid, I also made one run with my Black Mamba. It was a great and quite a long flow.

Previous days of camping with GRS Tržič: Day 2, Day 1.

We had mushrooms for breakfast, picked up on our yesterday's hike.

Before we left our campsite at mountain hut on farm Kumer, we visited Saint Anne church.

One of the altars has a Black Madonna with a black Jesus.

There are about 400-500 Black Madonnas in Europe, depending on how they are classified, and one of them is here in Koprivna valley.

View from our campsite.

Bad visibility postponed our take off.

Sky cleared form time to time and with Samo we prepared our gliders.

My first flight in Austria.

Adjusting directions.

This is how it looks when you fly through the fog. You don't want to meet anything on your way. Flight data - Garmin Connect.

Enjoying the Flow Country Trail.
