Slovenia: Peca

Day 2 of camping adventure with Mountain Rescue Association of Tržič (GRS Tržič). We decided to conquer the highest mountain of the eastern Karawanks, Peca. Nada, Alenka, Čopk, Samo and me first conquered the western peak called Bistriška špica / Feistritzer Spitze, 2113 m. Samo and me had our gliders with us, but conditions weren't good, so left the main group and continued searching the suitable take off spot on the ridge over Končnikov vrh, 2109 m, to Kordeževa glava, 2125 m. Wind and fog combination were stronger than us, so we descended over Dom na Peci to the nearest parking lot, from where we hitchhiked to Mežica, where Nada picked us up and took us back to the campsite.

Previous day of camping with GRS Tržič: Day 1.

Making our own path.

Mountain pasture Zgornja Luža with a hunting cabin.
Continuing with a heavy backpack.

View to Austria from Bistriška špica.

Unfortunately not our direction.

Tuši and Samo on top of Bistriška špica.

Selfie before we separated.

Fog coming out of the valley wasn't good for us.

Searching for take-off options.

Instead of hike & fly adventure, all we did was a lot of hiking.

Hiking with a 15 kg backpack - Garmin Connect.

Geocache found:
- Petzen-Feistritzer Spitz, GC2PWQH, that received a visit by trackable items "OceantagZ", TB5NYN3 and "Travel Firefighter", TB65TH2
