Slovenia: Backcountry Skiing - Košuta, GeoCaching Event


Lovro picked me up in the morning and together we decided to conquer the nearby Veliki vrh. We started our backcountry skiing tour from Matizovec and soon we reached Dom na Kofcah mountain hut, 1488 m. Weather conditions were getting worse and worse, windy with very thick fog. We successfully reached the Košuta ridge and the we wisely changed our plan and we turned around. Skiing in thick fog was quite challenging due to almost zero visibility, but we managed and we came back safe and sound.

In the evening I attended a nearby geocaching event with Nada, 3rd traditional event called "Welcome to 2018". Many geocachers attended the event, but since there was many new faces, some will unfortunately soon be forgotten.

Since we didn't reach the summit, we will come back
