For the last day of JJ's visit from the other side of the world I prepared my speciality for our lunch at work, what else than mushrooms with eggs.

Slovenia: Chestnut party in Lager Bar

Plenty of chestnut these days in Slovenia, so in one of my favourite bars they decided to have chestnut parties for three days with some live music. Since my friend from New Zealand JJ was still around, I invited him and we came the the scene of the crime on the last day. Menu: Chestnut, beer and how to save the world, episode #8153. Slovenia: Afternoon Hike to Grmada and Šmarna gora with JJ

My friend and co-worker from New Zealand, yes, you guessed, JJ, was in the country, so we spent some time together in a hike to two local hills. Pogačnikova path seemed like a good choice, since it was marked as very demanding and JJ wouldn't expect nothing less from me.

Slovenia: Weekly Hike: Rašica

Our sport and cultural society ŠKD Indijanci went on a second morning hike. Our destination this time was Rašica. Although the weather was very English, we didn't give up and we conquered the peak.

Slovenia: Hiking to Dobrča and All Saints' Day

Weather was very nice today so it was time for some more hiking. I started from Ljubelj towards Koča na Prevalu mountain hut, where I just continued towards my first peak, Dobrča, 1634 m and nearby Šentanski vrh, 1635 m, which offers magnificent views. I took some pictures and descended to Koča na Dobrči mountain hut, 1478 m, where I supposed to meet my friends. I waited for 3 minutes and they showed up.

We settled down outside this hut. Great food, good service, so no wonder that they are the winner of a prize called "The most popular mountain hut" for the 2nd time in a row (2012, 2013).

Slovenia: Weekly Hike: Šmarna gora

With our sport and cultural society ŠKD Indijanci (Indians), that we established at work, we decided to hike every Tuesday morning before work all the way till new year and therefore we would have enough fitness to conquer Kredarica, one of our high altitude mountain huts. For our first hike we chose the most popular hill in Ljubljana, Šmarna gora.

Slovenia: New Rabbits and Bicycle Trip at the foothills of Košuta

In the morning I fed the animals on our farm and while I was giving some food to our momma rabbit, I noticed, that she gave birth to new ones, don't know how many, since you're not supposed to touch them for some time.

The weather was nice and not too cold, so I decided to do some pedalling, the plan was to go to Planina Dolga Njiva, 1400 m a.m.s.l.
