On JJ's 2nd day with us, we decided to conquer a nearby mountain
Košutica. Nada left us half way up and she headed straight to mountain hut, while we continued in the fog all the way to the top. From time to time, the sky cleared a bit, but not enough for a good view. We didn't stay long on the summit and we continued to saddle
Hajnževo sedlo, where John jumped a few times to
Austria and back to
Slovenia. Can't do that in
New Zealand, unless you can jump over the ocean. The fog was gone and our path led us o mountain pasture
Korošica, where we joined with Nada again. My friends were just installing new stairs, so we gave them a hand. After the job was done, we returned back to the valley, where we also visited the remains of the former Ljubelj concentration camp and it's museum.

JJ and Tuši arrived at the border. |

The fog finally started to disappear. |

Primula auricula, often known as auricula, mountain cowslip or bear's ear is a protected flower in Slovenia. |
Workers and spectators.

The job was done and the mountain hut has a new stairs for entering. |
For the end of the day we visited a nearby Ljubelj labour camp from World War 2. We saw the monument, a sculpture of a skeleton containing a living heart in the middle, with the inscription J'ACCUSE, and the remains of the camp. |
Crematorium. |
