His highness JJ came to visit us from
New Zealand to
Slovenia and for today, we decided to do a
hiking trip to
Golica. A nice roundtrip was finished in
Planina pod Golico, where a bonus event was waiting for us. Sankstart is an event, where you test your starting skills used in
luge in similar competitions, where every lost tenth of a second can result in a second on the finish line. We ended the day with a barbecue back in our place in
Podljubelj.
Bronco decided, that he will not use this steps, so we had to use another way up to the hut.

Daffodils started to show their white colour. |
While Nada decided to skip the summit of Golica and meet us on the intersection, John and me visited the nice summit. |

Each spring, something magical happens on the slopes above the industrial town of Jesenice. Several of the normally lush green meadows on the mountainsides of Golica turn almost completely snow-white. But it is not a late-spring snowstorm that is the cause of this extraordinary transformation, but the beautiful white blossoms of wild-growing daffodils. |
While we John and me were still walking, Nada and Bronco rested on romantic location.
Hiking with the view.

Daffodil flowers symbolize friendship, and are some of the most popular flowers due to their unmatched beauty. |
|
We were not the only visitors. |
John and me were practicing for our next event, Sankstart.
Competing with style.
Our Janez didn't make it to the podium, still he got the first prize, a brand new international t-shirt.
Bronco received a medal for the 3rd place and soon we were ready for some drinks and food.

Slow food barbecue. Cheers and bon appétit. |
