Slovenia: Dovžan Gorge and Tominc Waterfall
We had a new chef in our kitchen. Marko prepared pancakes for breakfast and we all loved them. After we filled our stomachs, we drove to Čadovlje, where we parked our cars and started exploring Dovžan gorge. We made a nice circular route and then we decided to visit a Tominc waterfall, while Nada went home and prepared us a lunch. Sunday was coming to and end and we simply said goodbye to each other, till the next time.
Chef Marko and satisfied customers.
After we paid for the parking, we started exploring the gorge.
Tunnels along Tržič Bistrica river.
The gorge is a journey through time. Although it is older than the dinosaurs, no dinosaur ever trod here. They did, however, swim: 300 million years ago this place was the site of a tropical sea, teeming with marine animals. Today in the walls of the gorge we can see their fossilized remains in abundance, including some that are found nowhere else in the world. |
Nice track through the gorge.
A little bit of climbing.

Rest on the educational trail just before the end - Garmin Connect.
After the waterfall and lunch, girls decided to have a dance party. |
