Croatia: Climbing Uverture
The bora wind was still blowing, but much less than yesterday, so we decided to do some climbing in the gorge, protected from the wind. When we unpacked our gear, I realised, that I forgot one climbing shoe, so I improvised with only one on a few simple routes. Later Tone saved me, as he just finished climbing and he lend me his. Thanks Tone! After a few easy pitches, we returned back to our apartment, where we had a short break before the walk to the coast. When we returned back, we just waited with a help of a few beers for a dinner. Cheers and Bon Appétit.
Entrance ticket after main season is very cheap. |

Located at the edge of Večko Field, Večka Tower (Večka Kula) was built by Venetians in 16th century as a part of fortification system that protected Podvelebitski Channel from the Turks. Presumably the tower was attached to the village of Veče (Veche), which was located in the area of modern Seline and was first mentioned by written sources in year 1508. Aside from the historic information, no trace of the village survives today. |
Bronco is still afraid of the water. |
