Slovenia: Road Cycling in Upper Carniola with a Handball Match

With Nada we decided to have some easy Saturday cycling and since our nephews had a handball match in Radovljica, we had a starting and ending point near the hall.

Bikes with names. Metliška Črnina and Black Beauty.

Napoleon's Stone in Radovna valley. The folk legend tells that the initials (Napoleon the 1st Bonaparte) were carved by a Napoleonic soldier from an army that was marching through the valley.

Poglejska cerkev (trans. Poglej Church) is overhanging cave with a small cavern in the outskirts of village Poljšica near Zgornje Gorje. This natural cave was hollowed out when the Triglav glacier retreated.
