Every year our Alpine Association AO Tržič organizes a
backcountry skiing expedition. This year the number of attendees was reduced due to weather forecast, but they should all be sorry, since we chose a very good destination in
Koroška,
Austria. Our starting point was Hmelše and after a short walk on the road we put on the skis and continued on the wide ravine called Celovška riža - Breite Rinne all the way to the ridge of Obir massif. From there it wasn't far to our summit called
Ojstrc on altitude 2139 m. After a photo session we skied back down. We finished the day with analysis in
Sele Fara and later with even deeper approach in
Podljubelj.
