Slovenia: Backcountry Skiing on Ženiklovec, Afternoon Sledding

I convinced Rok to join me on an easy backcountry skiing tour and together we conquered Ženiklovec, 1716 m. Since Rok hadn't ski for many years it was fun to watch him in action.

This skiing destination was in my mind for many years

In the afternoon Nada and me received a visit from Bela Krajina. After lunch we all went sledding to Koča na Ljubelju mountain hut, 1370 m. Track. Since that wasn't enough for Nada and me, we went up there one more time in the evening. Track.

Slovenia: Backcountry Skiing - Vrh Ljubeljščice, Afternoon Sledding

Before work we decided to go backcountry skiing. Our destination was Vrh Ljubeljščice, 1704 m. Nada, Lovro, Grega and me started on Ljubelj and when we came to Zelenica, Nada decided to return, while we continued to our designated place. It was a great start of the Friday.

Slovenia: Sledding Madness

There is nothing to add, only that today we went sledding to Koča na Ljubelju mountain hut, 1370 m, 3 times. First one was done before work and then 2 after. Run1, run2 and run3 GPS tracks.

In the morning we were the group of 4, Gašper, Rok, Nada and me. And LO representing locked memory card on the camera.

For quite some time I have been looking for new skis for back-country skiing and now I have them. Although the avalanche risk was high, I decided to try them on Zelenica.

Slovenia: Sledding and Sledding

On this sunny Sunday we were out of ideas what to do, so went sledding 2 times, both times on Koča na Ljubelju mountain hut, 1370 m.

In the morning we were alone with Nada and since there was a fresh snow on the track, the way down was quite slow. Track.

Slovenia: Hiking and Sledding

Sledding, hiking, sledding... When will it stop?

In the morning, Nada and me went hiking to Stari Ljubelj. Track. In the evening we went with friends to Dom pod Storžičem mountain hut, 1123 m.

Snow is in our mountains and I decide to test my snowboarding abilities once more. I must say I am still bad at this.
