Austria: Backcountry Skiing - Stellkopf

Our short vacation were coming to an end and the last thing we did was the backcountry skiing to Stellkopf, 2852 m. Another peak for beginners with a little bit more ascent was also a bit further away, but that wasn't an issue for Nada and me. On our way up we enjoyed the view to many peaks, that could also be conquered on skis, but some things have to remain unconquered, at least for now. The summit of Stellkopf was a little bit windy, so we just took a few photos and soon we started our journey back to Sadnighaus. We concluded the day with a long drive from Astental valley back home.

Flat start

Passing Sitschalm

Around the ridge that leads to Stellhöhe, 2815 m

Above Kröllalm

That will definitely be fun, when we'll go back

Sun was our friend and we could continue with short sleeves

Last meters for Nada

We reached the summit of Stellkopf, 2852 m.

View to Veliki Klek, the highest mountain in Austria.

After a snack below the windy peak, we started our journey back to Sadnighaus.

Someone is tired.

Fresh lines
