Slovenia: STKP: Part 6

STKP stands for Slovenian Mountain Bike Route and with Nada we decided to do the part of it in Posavsko hribovje (Sava Hills) and one of the goals was to conquer the highest peak of the Zasavje region (Central Sava Region), Kum, 1220 m, where also our STKP checkpoint is. The whole route consists of 111 checkpoints and is around 1800 kilometres long with 50000 ascend meters.

Previous stages of STKP: Stage 1Stage 2Stage 3Stage 4, Stage 5.

We started our MTB tour in Podkraj and soon we needed to cross the Sava river

Man powered "Cicka" helped us to cross the river

There are a number of structures at the summit, notably a church dedicated to Saint Agnes from the 17th century, mountain hut (behind the church) and a transmitter (on the left side).

The last meter

Nada and Tuši conquered Kum, 1220 m

The church at the top is a popular destination for pilgrims
