Slovenia: Vrh Ljubeljščice, Povna Peč and Ljubelj Pass with guests from Bretagne

As mentioned in one of my blog entries a while ago, I met a French family in 2010 and today, Nada and me visited them in Bretagne / Brittany. It didn't take long and Anne and Thierry were already in Slovenia, so we decided to have a nice hike together. Nada decided to join us a bit later, so I rode my bike to destination, Ljubelj, from where we started our hike to Dom na Zelenici mountain hut, where we had our lunch break. After a while we did a short detour to Dom pri izviru Završnice mountain hut and then we headed to Vrh Ljubeljščice, our highest point of the day, where we waited for Nada. Ljubeljščice ridge, or better said, the fun part was ahead of us, especially for my French friends, since they are not used to terrains like that, but slowly we overcome all the obstacles and we made it to the safe haven back at our home, where we celebrated life and Anne's birthday. Cheers!

I took my Black Mamba to meet Anne and Thierry. Side roads were in bad shape due to some heavy rain and floods in the last days.

In Africa, guides would use the words "pole pole".

We made a stop at Dom na Zelenici, 1536 m.

Slovenian "mountain" food.

Near Dom pri izviru Završnice we found an edible mushroom.

Energy spot along the way before we met with Nada.

Nada had a lot of time to take photos.

Our first "serious" climbing section.

Anne was totally serious.

Bretons are coming.

2nd part of the steel ropes.

Slowly and safely.

Ass can also be used for descends.

Our photographer Nada finally again on the picture.

On top of Povna peč, where the major troubles were behind us.

Book signing - Garmin Connect.

Finally back.

What a style.

Dinner time.

Evening activities.

Guess who won.
