Slovenia: With Pony Bikes to Bovec, Edition 2024

In 2022 local guys invited me to a 2-day ride with retro Pony bikes to Bovec. This year the weather forecast was bad, so the majority went there with cars and they had the men's weekend. Puhar and me didn't give up and we still went there with bikes. I rented again my blue arrow from Tom and at 5:30 a.m. the cycling began. Our route led us over Jesenice to Kranjska Gora, where the rain drops convinced us, that it is time for a beer. Despite that, we continued to Vršič Pass and after a few stops, we reached Camp Liza in Bovec. 12 hours it was and it was great - Garmin Connect. The evening continued as it should for men only party - cheers.

Previous Pony rides to Bovec: 2022 (Day1 - 15722, Day2 - 15723, Day3 - 15724 and Day4 - 15725)

Puhi and Tuši.

Easy peasy.

2 beers were waiting for us on a hidden place.

Vršič Pass, 1611 m.

That's us.

914 years old and still working. Here we also needed to cool down the coaster (torpedo) brakes.

The Golobar Cableway, also known as Tolminka, is a Slovenian technical monument. It played a significant role in transporting wood in challenging terrain.

We even tried the single trail.

Shortcut to beer.

Last meters before we saddled down with our friends. No pictures were recorded later.
