Slovenia: Movie Bitka na Neretvi

Time for another movie. Since Nada and me were in Jablanica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, a couple of days ago, where the famous Battle of Neretva took place, we decided to see a movie about it. It was the final battle of Case White operation, a combined Axis strategic offensive launched against the Yugoslav Partisans throughout occupied Yugoslavia during World War II.

Battle of Neretva was also called the Battle for the Wounded, since they didn't wan't to leave the wounded behind

Slovenia: Annual Working Days on Planina Korošica, Day 1

Every year our friend Boštjan organises a work action at a pasture, called Planina Korošica, 1554 m. Like every year we start the work with the repairing of the fence, that was damaged due to hard winter and large amount of snow.

More than 10 people show up and the work run smoothly till the evening, when it was time to relax with the beer and košutnik (local spirit, where you put the roots of "bitter root").

Morning hike to the pasture promised a nice day

Goodies (snack) from the hut were brought by Karmen and Ana

Slovenia: Morning Hike to Kal - Kobel - Vrša and 20 years of EBV Slovenia

It has been a while since we've been on our morning hike. Today we did it again and as always it was worth it. We started the hike in Podljubelj and conquered our main destination Zavetišče na Kalu. Since we like to do round-trips, we returned over 2 unknown hills, Kobel, 1203 m, and Vrša, 1141 m.

Slovenia: Climbing: Janc-Mali in Begunjščica

Janc-Mali climbing route has been on our schedule for a while now and today, Nada and me climbed it. First two guys, who climbed it were Pavel Janc and Marjan Mali, it is 160 m high with a grade IV+/IV-III. We did it in 3 hours, slowly, but it was nice in the end.

Bosnia and Herzegovina: Balkan Trip Day 4: Baptism in Bijeljina

Last year we had our 1st cycling tour to Bosnia and Herzegovina and since it was so good, we decided to repeat it this year.

This year Nada and me skipped the second day of cycling and we decided to attend the baptism of Nada's relatives in Bijeljina. But first, we needed to ride from Konjic over Sarajevo, Romanija to Zvornik. From Zvornik, Slavica drove us to the celebration, where we stayed till the evening.

Bosnia and Herzegovina: Balkan Trip Day 3: Cycling from Konjic over Borci and Rujište to Potoci

Last year we had our 1st cycling tour to Bosnia and Herzegovina and since it was so good, we decided to repeat it this year.

On our 3rd day we finally started riding the bicycles. Because of changeable weather, indecisiveness was a problem during the breakfast, but some of decided to go anyway. In the end we all went cycling and we didn't regret it.
