Slovenia: Vrtača

In the morning Rok and me decided to conquer Vrtača. We started at 6 a.m. and in less than an hour we escaped from the fog. Soon we were awarded with beautiful sunrise and nice views to the nearby mountains. We conquered the summit through Y ravine and descended on the SE ridge. Unfortunately we had to return back to the foggy valley.

Sunrise from Zelenica

Begunjščica from Suho Ruševje

Storžič was rising above the fog

Entered Y ravine

Under the jammed boulder

Reached te summit at an altitude of 2181 m

View to the West with the highest peak of the Karawanks, Stol

Tuši and Rok

The majority of the people are hidden underneath the "sea level", unaware of the beauty up here

We used South East ridge for descent

Back to foggy reality

Great start of the day
