Croatia: Top Of Krk

In the morning Nada and me left our famous apartment Villa Ivka in Baška. We moved on to pass Treskavac, where we left our car and started our hiking day. Our goal was to conquer all peaks above 500 meters on island Krk. Since we are talking about Nada and Tuši, defeat wasn't an option, so we easily succeeded. All 4 peaks were successfully conquered: Veli vrh, 541 m, Brestovica, 555 m, Obzova 569 m, and Zminja, 537 m. On our way back we visited some nice viewpoints and found some caches while we drove to the city of Krk.

Conquering all 500 meter high peaks on Krk - Garmin Connect

The church of St Donatus stands on the sea coast in the Puntarska cove. Today, only the reconstructed remains of the church are preserved as it was destroyed in the explosion of the ammunition warehouse, located nearby, in 1945.

 

St. Lucy's Chapel was first mentioned in 1424, although experts believe it is of early Christian origin.
