Croatia / Slovenia: Krapina and Slivnica Lake

In the morning Bronco, Nada and me did a walk in the city of Krapina, where we Kajbumščak running event took place. Soon we left Hrvatsko Zagorje and we decided to stop at Slivnica Lake, where we stopped for a while.

Trimmed grass, that was our goal.

Goodbye weekend house.

Walking on a windy day in Krapina.

Izidor Strok (1911 - 1984) was Croatian communist politician and the national hero of Yugoslavia.

Runners were arriving to the finish line and we patiently waited for them.

Near place Gorica pri Slivnici lies man-made lake, to which some say Kozjansko sea – Slivnica lake.

The lake was made in year 1976 by the damming of Dobrina and Ločnica stream. The barrier was built for needs of technological water for ironworks Štore and as reservoir of flood wave.

Approximately 119 kinds of birds and 32 spieces of fish, crustaceans, lampreys, frogs and shellfish are inhabiting the lake. It is also possible to find some of the rare species of plants.

Bronco, the lake is 14 meters deep and you are using only 10 cm of it.

Chillin'.

Time to win again.
