Slovenia: Kamniški Dedec and Prelaz Ljubelj
Kamniški Dedec rises proudly at the southwestern beginning of the Zeleniške špice ridge and is one of less visited peaks in our mountains. One of the reasons for that is, that no marked trail leads to the top, so you have to follow some hunter's paths, still you almost can't miss it. Nada and me easily conquered the peak that offered good view to the surrounding peaks and valleys. We returned back on the same way and since we still weren't too tired, we slo hiked to Koča na Ljubelju mountain hut near our home.
Crossing the creek |
Hunter's lodge |
Following the hunter's trail
Climbing over some fallen trees |
Last part of the ascend required some hand work
We reached the summit of Kamniški Dedec, 1583 m |
Stone cairn and a logbook are waiting at the top |
"Monkey Business" position used in Budokon.
Kamnik Bistrica valley with surrounding mountains |
Returning back
Crossing the creek for the second time. Soon I did that 2 more times, since I forgot my walking poles at the hunter's hut. Funny for Nada and not for me. |
