Slovenia: VHF GMDSS station certificate exam and hike to Prelaz Ljubelj
In the morning I attended and exam for VHF GMDSS station in Koper and I passed with flying colors. Marine VHF radio is a worldwide system of two way radio transceivers on ships and watercraft used for bidirectional voice communication from ship-to-ship, ship-to-shore (for example with harbormasters), and in certain circumstances ship-to-aircraft. In our country a certificate is required to use a marine VHF radio. Afternoon was easier, as me and Nada did a short hike to Koča na Ljubelju mountain hut.
Hlavaty Park is located on the outskirts of the Old Town of Koper |
Slovenian Maritime Administration building is surrounded by many boats |
Boats in front of Ukmarjev trg, where I had an exam |
Before the hike to Koča na Ljubelju (Garmin Connect), I quickly visited the dragon in Tržič
