Slovenia: Yearly working action on Korošica

Pasture Korošica lays beneath the mountains and every year, typically on 15.6. farmers drove their cattle to the pasture for 3 months. For other 9 months the area rests in peace, in winter underneath the snow, that also causes damage to the fence, therefore caretaker's son Vizo invites us and we help him to repair the damaged areas and we also do other inevitable work.

Bađo, Vizo and me started hiking to Korošica in the morning and we also brought some wood. Couple of others were already waiting for us.

Unique way how to nail the fence to a pole

 

Everything was heavier with every hour

Fence runs on the border between Austria and Slovenia. On the picture we also have two peaks, Košutica, 1968 m (left) and Veliki vrh, 2088 m (right).

Majority of the work was done and we went to the hut for lunch

In the evening we had a couple of those, made out of Gentiana lutea ans schnapps.
