Slovenia: With Bicycles from Ljubljana to Janče with Geocaching
With Nada I spent the day cycling from Ljubljana to Janče and on the way we picked up 7 geocaches on some nice places.
Confluence of three rivers where Kamniška Bistrica and Ljubljanica rivers discharge into the river Sava near the same place at the village Podgrad. |
Suspended wooden bridge connecting the villages Jevnica on the right bank of the river Sava and Senožeti on the left. Between Second World War it was an important transition between Dolenjska (Lower Carniola) and Štajerska (Styria) region.
Uphill on Fruit road to Janče, with 792 m the highest hill in City Municipality of Ljubljana |
Go Nada, just a little bit more. |
On top of Janče, 792 m |
Small farm on the top |
We found the last geocache on a hill called Urh, 342 m, east of Ljubljana. The place is known, that there was an outpost between Second World War, known for torturing and killing of partisans. |
Geocaches found today:
- Sotocje treh rek - Confluence of three rivers, GC3ENWB

In the evening we visited my co-worker Vlado and his life companion Saška and they prepared a nice dinner for us. On our plates we had two types of typical Macedonian dish called Pastrmajlija.
