New Zealand: Day 74: South Island Motorbike Trip: Day 01: Wellington - Picton
The day to visit South Island with my friend JJ and our motorbikes RF900Rs has come. After work we rode to Wellington, where we boarded the Interislander ferry. It could be cheaper, but there is no alternative, so all I could do is to be a student and to apply the BBH1 code as a BBH backpacker member and the reduced price was here. To see the ticket, click here. Our destination was Picton, where John already reserved 2 beds for us in The Villa for $26 per night.
Leaving my home in Avalon, Lower Hutt with a bit worn out tyre (from yesterday's ride). Hope the tyre will last this trip.
On our way to the ferry, still on North Island

Arahura was our ship with sheep, sheeps or sheepseses.

In Picton in The Villa (backpackers) we had a glass of red wine in a jacuzzi |
It was already late, but obviously not enough, so JJ, me and some other guys went into a local pub.
Like a true Kiwi, I tried to go into the bar barefoot, but they didn't let me in. Luckily a security guard was kind enough and he lend me his jandlas for the evening. Thanks mate. |
Beer with the Dutch (Harley Davidson owner), American and German |
Last beer and it was time to go to bed |
