Bosnia and Herzegovina: Expedition Prenj, Day 2 - Jezerce

Jana, Igor and me continued with our Прењ - Prenj expedition. Our plans changed after yesterday's unsuccessful attempt to come to Vrutak mountain hut, so today we drove to Rujište and we started from there. The weather was nice and we quickly advanced, but after a while, the snow started sticking to our ski skins. We hardly moved on, but we were stubborn. Even today, Vrutak mountain hut was too far for us, as the night came, so we decided to stay in one of the huts just before our destination, Jezerce. We settled in and started the fire, while we talked about the future plans. The weather forecast wasn't good, so we postponed our decisions for tomorrow.

Previous day of our Prenj expedition: Day 1 - 15975.

Long way ahead of us.

After a while, we were alone, making our own path.

Prenj is still covered with land mines and unexploded ordnance.

Snow was sticking to our si skins and we hardly advanced.

We made a stop in Bijele vode, where the conditions improved.

What are you doing Jana?

Igor also had a heavy job with snowshoes.

Our valley with a peak called Osobac, 2024 m.

Tuši and Jana.

Looking back to Sivadije.

Finally our shelter at Jezerce below Taraš peak - Garmin Connect.

We settled in the shelter, started the fire, had dinner and went to cold bed.
