Bosnia and Herzegovina: Expedition Prenj, Day 1 - Approach

Прењ - Prenj is a mountain range in the Dinaric Alps of southern Bosnia and Herzegovina, located in eastern Herzegovina near Mostar, Jablanica and Konjic. Jana, Igor and me decided to spend a few days on the snow there. On our first day Nada took me to Ljubljana, where I joined Jana and we went to Zagreb, where we met with Igor. We got into his van, destination Bosnia and Herzegovina. We made a stop in Zenica for čevapčiči and then we headed for Konjic, where we picked up the keys of a mountain hut Vrutak. After a beer we drove to our designated parking spot, where we put on our gear and we started with our activity. After 2 hours of struggling with fresh snow, we decided, that it is best to turn around (Garmin Connect) and try again tomorrow, so we headed back to Konjic, where we spent the night.

Ćevapi in Zenica.

On the highway.

Promising start.

We continued for a while, but then we decided to turn around and try again tomorrow.
