Slovenia: Mountain Biking, Paragliding and Birthday Party in Bela Krajina
Nada and me have friends in Bela Krajina / White Carniola, a traditional region in southeastern Slovenia. One of them is Tomaž and he invited us to his birthday party. We decided to be in there early, so that we could do some mountain biking and if the weather permits, also a quick flight with a paraglider. We drove to a hill called Smuk above Semič, from where we started our riding. Our plan was to do a circular route and we found a nice marked trail on the map. We followed it to a certain point, but then the track disappeared. We double checked the map and when we looked at the legend we saw, that the designer of the map was so proud of the city borders, that he marked them with the same bold line as other normal trails. Well, we still continued, on bike, on foot, through the bush, ... Soon we made it back to road and as planned, we finished our planned round trip. We put our bikes in the car and I took my glider. Smuk is a popular take off site for paragliders and I happily used it. I quickly landed in Semič below, where Nada picked me up and together we went to Tomaž's party. Food, drinks and good music held us up late into the night. Happy Birthday Tomaž!

There is no real party without diatonic button accordion. Since Tomaž is also a musician, he quickly helped with his new instrument.
Tomaž had to participate in many games, while his son was playing for the local girls.
