Every trip has to end some time and our ended today. Luckily we still had some time in the morning and we visited the Palanok Castle in Mukachevo. After the sightseeing we packed ourselves in the van and a long drive home began.

The founding cornerstone for the castle was laid sometime in the 14th century by the members of the Hungarian noble family Aba and was an important fortification of the Kingdom of Hungary throughout the centuries. The castle was later transformed into an impregnable fortress by French engineers. |
