Austria: Climbing to Niederer Türlspitz and Flying

In the morning I partnered up with Anže and we decided to climb to Niederer Türlspitz. We chose Steiner-Goedel route, marked with IV+/IV and 350 meters long. Beno, Maja and Maša had the same intensions, so we all drove together to our starting point and then hiked to the start of our climbing. A group of locals was ahead of us, so we waited for a while and then we started following them. The rock was very good so we had a good time. Anže luckily led the hardest spots and so we advanced quite quickly all the way to the top.13 pitches were behind us and we happily signed the logbook on the top. The descend was also tricky and we needed to be careful until we reached the normal hiking route. Soon we were back at our starting point, waiting for the others. After the beer we took our flying backpacks and hiked to our take off site and then we flew straight to our camping site.

At the start, we waited for some locals.

We left Maša, Maja and Beno behind. Anže and me are already in the middle of the rock.

The rock was very solid.

Anže had plenty of time for taking pictures.

Last troubles before we entered easier terrain.

View from the top of Niederer Türlspitz, 2364 m.

Anže and Tuši.

We signed in.

Towards the saddle, where we turned right.

Looking back to our peak.

Tricky and steep descent.

We climbed on the peak in the middle - Garmin Connect.

After we regrouped with others, we hiked towards our take off site.

Anže and his small wing were ready.

Quite nice take off site.

Anže in start mode.

Few minutes away from the beer in the valley.

I was still preparing the glider.

Straight to campsite - Garmin Connect.
